Non Geographical Number Services

A Non-Geographical Number starts with ‘08’ or ‘09’. It is called a ‘non-geographical’ number as it does not restrict your business to any geographical location as a standard 01 or 02 number does.

Some Non-Geographical Numbers earn you a revenue share, or allow you to subsidise the cost of a telephone call into your business for your customers.

0800 & 0808 (Freephone) - Your customers call into your Company Free of Charge and your business pays for the call. These are ideal for any business with marketing campaigns or high value customer care departments. Paying for customer calls will stimulate sales and customer service enquiries.

0845 & 0844 (Lo-call rate) - Your customers are charged between 3 pence per minute & 5 pence per minute to contact you. These are ideal for any business with direct sales, order taking, customer service, help or advice line departments. It is user-friendly alternative to freephone numbers and is often used in situations where a freephone call may be abused.

0871 (Fixed National rate) - These numbers were introduced by BT as a compromise between 0870 and Premium Rate number services. Callers are charged up to 10 pence per minute to call you and you receive a revenue share from each call. These may be used for help and advice services where a high proportion of calls are received and you need to subsidise the cost of this service in some way. At the end of each month we send you a statement of calls you have received and the money you have earned.

090 (Premium Rate) - Premium rate numbers are rated from 10 pence per minute up to £1.50 per minute to the caller and you receive a revenue share of this charge.
